Position Summary
The Sr Sales Business Analyst is responsible for reporting and analytics to support various groups in the Sales Department. This includes specification design for new reporting, ways to automate existing reporting, and analysis of current deliverables. This role will also partner with the Territory Managers and Sales Directors to support them by helping to summarize complex data into easy-to-understand business formats that are used to support decision making and drive meal utilization across large national Health Plans. Previous healthcare / managed care knowledge will be vital to making this role successful.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to
  • Serve as the analytics department primary liaison for our sales team and health plans as they need information and insights to better understand current and future market trends in the healthcare space
  • Design and develop specifications needed for our standardized Utilization and Service Level scorecards
  • Maintain and support our health plan reports and scorecards on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Support the Sales and Data Analytics team in ad hoc data analysis
  • Analyze complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers
  • Identify and interpret trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences
  • Construct forecasts, recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge
  • Monitor the accuracy and quality of deliverables and continually work to improve the reports when necessary
  • Work with IT (Information Technology) to improve workflows and processes for our reporting
Required Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or direct and applicable work experience
  • 3 years’ Managed Care experience
  • 5 year Business Analyst / Data Analyst experience
  • Proficient in SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong attention to detail, must provide reports and design specifications with high accuracy
  • Ability to lead calls or meetings to gather deliverables needed for our projects
  • Ability to multi-task and handle numerous assignments simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly analytical, must be able to provide sound recommendations to leadership based on evidence and fact
  • Proficient in data analysis and manipulation
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand new technology
  • Interest in continuous improvement and becoming a subject-matter expert
  • Proficient in data visualization and able to consider multiple approaches to finding a solution
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt; must be interested in continuous education to take advantage of emerging trends in new software/technology
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Experience with ERP/CRM software or Microsoft Dynamics CRM
  • Familiarity or experience with reporting tools like MS SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, or Alteryx
  • PMP
  • Certified Business Analyst Professional
